Vale to John Mortimer, creator of Rumpole; to Patrick McGoohan, actor and creator of The Prisoner (not to be confused with the Australian soap opera that lacked the definite article); and to Ricardo Montalban, actor.

I wonder how many of those men will be remembered fondly in 2209…
